Telangana Minority 1 lakh scheme 2023
On july 23, chief minister K. Chandrasekhar Rao took a significant step towards providing financial aid to minority communities in Telangana. Following this decision, the state government issued rules enabling minorities to receive much needed economic support. Subsequently, instructions were released to determined the beneficiaries who would benefit from this scheme.
To implement this economic assistance programme, the minorities welfare department issue a government order (GO). According to the GO, applications that were submitted during the fiscal year 2022-2024 but were still pending will now be considered for approval in the year 2023-2024. Each eligible recipient will receive 100% direct subsidies amounting to Rs. 1 lakh. The distribution of these subsidies will be facilitated through the Telangana state minorities finance corporation.

Telangana Minority 1 lakh scheme eligibility
- Christian applicant must submit new application to be considered for financial aid under the Telangana State Christian Minorities Financial Corporation’s program.
- Only one family member from each household will be eligible to receive the grant. Multiple members from the same family cannot apply for the scheme.
- As of June 2, 2023, the age restriction for candidates is set between 21 to 55 years old.
- For applicants residing in rural areas, their yearly income should not exceed 1,50,000 rupees.
- Similarly, for applicants living in urban areas, their yearly income should not exceed 2 lakh rupees. Individuals with an annual income higher than this amount will not be eligible to avail of the scheme’s benefits.
