On June 23, Chief Minister Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy launched the Andhra Pradesh Jagananna Suraksha Program, a revolutionary initiative aimed at providing comprehensive services to the residents of the state. This program seeks to bring the benefits of welfare programs and essential documents directly to the citizens’ doorsteps, ensuring convenience, accessibility, and empowerment.
Under the Jagananna Suraksha Program, a dedicated workforce comprising members of the Village and Ward Secretariat staff, public representatives, and approximately 2.6 lakh volunteers will embark on a door-to-door campaign. Their primary objective is to educate citizens about the advantages of various welfare schemes and deliver essential documents such as birth certificates, death certificates, Ration Cards, Marriage Certificates, Caste Certificates, and more.

- The primary objective of the Jagananna Suraksha Program is to ensure that eligible individuals receive the government benefits they are entitled to. By reaching out to residents who, for various reasons, have been unable to access these benefits, the program aims to bridge the gap and deliver assistance to those in need.
- The AP Jagananna Suraksha Programme sponsored around 15,004 Suraksha Camps.
- The program specifically targets unresolved issues that citizens have raised on the Jaganannaku Chebudam Portal. It aims to address and resolve these issues by personally visiting households and providing necessary assistance. By doing so, the program seeks to ensure that citizens’ concerns are heard and acted upon promptly.
- The Jagananna Suraksha Program aims to cover all state residents who qualify for benefits. It strives for inclusivity and leaves no eligible individual behind. By reaching out to every household, the program aims to identify and provide assistance to those who may have been previously overlooked or faced barriers in accessing government schemes.
- Another objective of the Jagananna Suraksha Program is to raise awareness among citizens about various government schemes and their benefits. - Out of the 1.6 crore households in Andhra Pradesh, about 5 crore 30 lakh individuals will be supplied.

- As reported by the Indian Express, the Village and Ward Secretariat will conduct visits to every home within a span of 7 to 10 days.
- Following the visits, the Secretariat will efficiently process the certificates of the beneficiaries and ensure their prompt delivery. This streamlined approach ensures that beneficiaries can easily track the progress of the program and anticipate the arrival of their certificates.
