Ama Odisha Nabin Odisha Scheme 2023 :- The State Government has revamped the previous initiative and introduced a new and enhanced version called Ama Odisha Nabin Odisha Scheme 2023, With a substantial allocation of Rs 4000 crore under the State Plan, this program is set to be effective from the Financial Year 2023-24. - The main objective of the scheme is to fill the gaps in existing small but essential projects and develop critical infrastructure. Special attention will be given to enhancing primary education infrastructure and providing missing links in terms of modernization and expansion.
- Additional facilities will be established for Mission Shakti Groups at the Gram Panchayat (GP) level, empowering women through self-help initiatives. Furthermore, critical gaps in rural areas will be bridged by bringing urban facilities closer to the people.
- Recognizing the importance of sports in youth development, the scheme will focus on establishing sports facilities. Additionally, it aims to improve banking facilities and digital access by enhancing mobile connectivity, optical fiber connectivity, WiFi, and internet access.
- The scheme’s budget provision from the State Budget is Rs. 4000.00 crore. Each Gram Panchayat in every Block of the State will be entitled to Rs. 50.00 lakh, and the project cost will range between Rs. 2.50 lakh to Rs. 10.00 lakh.
- Projects under the scheme will be suggested or recommended by local communities, organizations, public representatives, and stakeholders. The consolidated project list for each Block will be submitted to the PR & DW Department, duly examined and approved by the Government, with the signatures of the Collector and President of Zilla Parishad.
- To ensure transparency, a web-based MIS will be implemented for monitoring the Scheme, and a dedicated app will be introduced for sharing photographs before, during, and after each project, with GIS tagging. The Panchayat Samiti will execute the work departmentally or select any other suitable procedure, with the Collector acting as the authorized agency for work execution.
